Lathe - Resin Base

A freind had a minature oval base which he wanted to be ~90mm round, with a bevel on it. I made a quick jig by welding a rod to the back of a rough aluminium circle, and then turning this down to be undersized. I then used some Nitto (Permacel) P-02 tape http://amzn.to/2xYm18M) to mount the part to the disc, and tuned it down to final size. I'm not 100% sure what material it is made out of, but it turned really nicely... Oh, I had to use a cheap Harbor Freight lathe, because my Sherline doesn't have quite enough swing over the bed.
